The cleanest Mini War pivot rule is simple: stay in economy while the next purchase still changes your next fight, then convert into units and map pressure the moment extra greed only adds comfort.

Greed is good until it stops changing your next battlefield window.

Many Mini War beginners either stop scaling too early or greed too long. The right answer is not a fixed minute mark. It is whether the next economic purchase meaningfully improves your next timing, or whether you are now missing a chance to take land before nearby rivals stabilize.

If one more economic layer gives you cleaner refill, stronger production tempo, or access to a much better wave, keep growing. If it only makes the city feel nicer, start pressing.

Stay greedy

Signals that say economy still deserves the next click

  • Your builder flow is still slow enough to bottleneck every later plan.
  • Your worker or civilian setup still cannot support stronger production.
  • Your next industry or market layer clearly multiplies the next troop cycle.
  • Nearby opponents are not yet contesting space or threatening your route.

What this usually looks like

You are still fixing throughput, scaling replacement income, and setting up the city so the first real army wave does not leave you empty if the fight trades evenly.

Signals that say it is time to pivot into army pressure

  • The next economic purchase adds comfort, not a real power jump.
  • A nearby rival is exposed, underbuilt, or slow to hit equal tech.
  • You can take land, deny routes, or snowball a temporary numbers lead.
  • Waiting longer gives opponents time to match your economy and remove the window.

What this usually looks like

Your city is finally stable enough that units, vehicles, and map control create more value than another round of passive scaling.

Common failure

The two mistakes that ruin the pivot most often

Army too early

A fragile army-first spike feels active, but it usually collapses if the first trade does not end the game. Without refill economy, one lost push becomes a stalled city and a bad rebuild.

Economy too long

Endless greed throws away windows. If you keep upgrading while equal-tech rivals finish armies and borders, the city may look rich right before it gets boxed in.
